Cookies and Local Storage Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This policy names what Mentori writes into your browser, what each item does, and how to remove it.

1. Our approach

We list only the identifiers Mentori actually sets. We do not describe generic cookie categories that do not apply to us, and we do not set advertising cookies.

2. Essential authentication storage

When you sign in, we store a session and refresh token so you stay logged in between visits. These are kept in your browser's local storage and, where server-side rendering requires it, in a matching session cookie on the Mentori domain. Clearing them signs you out.

3. Preference storage

Small preference values — such as the last grade or subject you were viewing — may be stored locally so the app opens where you left off. These contain no personal identifiers.

4. Analytics

We use aggregate product analytics to understand which features are used and where the app breaks. Work to exclude child accounts from general web analytics is in progress; until it is complete we do not claim child accounts are excluded.

5. Controlling storage

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Removing authentication storage will sign the account out but does not delete any account data.
